Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ivo Lobo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Lobo in the 3rd minute of play forced Gomariz's goalkeeper Bernardo Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ivo Lobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes SC Sousa team got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Bandeira. The long shot by Marco Lisboa in the 12th minute really tested Hélder Meireles's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 16 minutes of play, Gomariz's Tomás Vale made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Meireles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Vale struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Hélder Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gomariz. 26 minutes into the match, Basílio Ferro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hélder Meireles, 2-0. Bernardo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Couto in the 30th minute of play. Basílio Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hélder Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Tomás Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tomás Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Meireles having to interfere. SC Sousa team's Hélder Meireles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save SC Sousa team from getting a goal against them. In the 47th match minute, Gomariz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Lúcio Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Sousa team's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Basílio Ferro spun around in front of the goal 54 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Sousa team's goal. Hélder Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Sousa team's Vladimiro Bandeira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute Basílio Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Sousa team's Hélder Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Vale in the 69th minute of play. Vladimiro Bandeira charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Bandeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vladimiro Bandeira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lúcio Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Sousa team's Hélio Aleixo got a free kick in the 79th minute. Bernardo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 83 played minutes SC Sousa team got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Loureiro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Ferro in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélder Meireles saved SC Sousa team from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gomariz fully deserved thier win.
