The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Daniel Neto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of portugal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Daniel Neto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 84 minutes into the game, one of portugal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. David Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Duarte Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute.
