Marco Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Vicente Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Luz's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. David Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Miranda in the 10th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Luz in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Freire saved Sado FC from getting behind. Vicente Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Júlio Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Freire having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Duarte Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Vicente Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Júlio Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Freire having to interfere. With a little luck, Sado FC's Vicente Freire got control of the ball when Manuel Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Júlio Luz made the kick off in the second half. Vicente Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Luz in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Sado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Martins came free, but Vicente Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marco Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Freire having to interfere. Júlio Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Luz in the 63rd minute of the match. Marco Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Vicente Freire came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by portugal's Júlio Luz. But to his dismay, Júlio Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Vicente Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Resende went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Vicente Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Luz in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Freire saved Sado FC from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, portugal's Júlio Luz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Freire narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vicente Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Martins in the 93rd minute of the match. portugal's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
