The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, one of Courel FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Tragos. Oliveira Moura stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pete Moorby. 0-1. Pete Moorby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cirilo Erramun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pete Moorby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Branco in the 42nd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes in the game Alexandre Morais did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to José Branco. 56 minutes into the game, Joaquim Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Júlio Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Courel FC defense, José Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pete Moorby. The Courel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pete Moorby should have stopped the shot. Gonçalo Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Pete Moorby made a huge save. A collision led to Courel FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alexandre Luz hit a great ball. Courel FC's Pete Moorby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Courel FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Gonçalo Vale could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Pete Moorby however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Branco in the 79th minute of play forced Courel FC's goalkeeper Pete Moorby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute José Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Moorby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Vale scored 1-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pete Moorby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 94 minutes, Cirilo Erramun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Courel FC and the Tragos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Courel FC's Cirilo Erramun got a free kick in the 94th minute. Gonçalo Vale struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Pete Moorby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tragos.
