An unexpectedly hard shot by José Branco in the 20th minute of play forced SC Beiroz's goalkeeper Luís Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, José Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tragos's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Faria hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Tragos's José Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonçalo Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Branco was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience was convinced that Jorge Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Luz was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Tragos's Júlio Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Matias in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Xavier Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alexandre Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Júlio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, João Jesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tragos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Beiroz the free kick. After 77 played minutes Tragos got a freekick which was hit by João Jesus. Jorge Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Luz having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, SC Beiroz's Alexandre Matias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If José Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Luz having to interfere. Alexandre Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
