Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nuno Campos got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Jorge Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Mouril's Alfredo Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nuno Campos came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the SC Safara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Campos couldn't finish the play. SC Mouril's Joaquim Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Campos in the 10th minute of play. In the 21st minute, André Anjos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Nuno Campos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Sandro Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cunha having to interfere. If Alfredo Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquim Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Freitas in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, SC Safara's Nuno Campos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 47 played minutes SC Mouril got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Borges. Eusébio Campos, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alfredo Cunha made the kick off in the second half. If Nuno Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the game, Alfredo Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Mouril's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Safara the free kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SC Mouril's goalie and right to Alexandre Assis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SC Mouril's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. SC Safara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
