The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Óscar Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Magalhães having to interfere. Óscar Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. SC Avilhoso's Vicente Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AFTERLIFE LIONS's Lúcio Miranda got a free kick in the 12th minute. Vicente Branco struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alexandre Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Avilhoso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Vieira in the 86th minute of play forced SC Avilhoso's goalkeeper Óscar Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
