Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diego Assis took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Guilherme Salvado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus Lisboa skillfully saved the ball. Diego Assis scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus Lisboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Anselmo Frois fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Monteiros's protests and gave Anselmo Frois a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Monteiros booed when Maruan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Miguel Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maruan FC's Mateus Lisboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jorge Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Timóteo Quintanilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Monteiros's Jerónimo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ramos in the 38th minute of play. Diego Assis struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Mateus Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Monteiros. The Maruan FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Monteiros were winning 0-1.

Cláudio Vilaverde hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Timóteo Quintanilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerónimo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerónimo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timóteo Quintanilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jerónimo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Diego Assis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateus Lisboa. Diego Assis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Jerónimo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timóteo Quintanilha in the 70th minute of the match. Jorge Ramos struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jerónimo Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maruan FC. With a little luck, Maruan FC's Mateus Lisboa got control of the ball when Miguel Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Mateus Lisboa made a huge save. Telmo Paredes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Maruan FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Monteiros:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maruan FC's zone, Diego Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Lisboa came out of the goal and Diego Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerónimo Brito having to interfere. SC Monteiros's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
