Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Octávio França made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Gregório Ferro sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Pinheiro in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laércio Nunes saved Nome ofensivo from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Palhares came free, but Octávio França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregório Ferro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octávio França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Lúcio Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laércio Nunes came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting CP's Lúcio Brás. But to his dismay, Lúcio Brás quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tomé Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Laércio Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laércio Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lúcio Brás's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Laércio Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Brás in the 43rd minute of the match. Tomé Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Laércio Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Tomé Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Laércio Nunes. Nome ofensivo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Palhares was the one to do the kick off. Tomé Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Brás was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 61stth minute of the game Tomé Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nome ofensivo's Laércio Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Tomé Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Casado during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nome ofensivo's Manuel Casado got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Nome ofensivo's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Brás came free, but Laércio Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting CP's Tomé Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute Lúcio Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Laércio Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting CP. In the 89th minute, Delfim Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Palhares came free, but Octávio França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Brás in the 94th minute of the match. If Tomé Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting CP played a much better game than Nome ofensivo and deserved their victory. The Nome ofensivo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
