Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Pedro Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martinga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeu Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute of the match Paulo Delgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Soares skillfully saved the ball. After 21 played minutes Fermela FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Borges. After a rather tough play, Fermela FC's Nuno Leite got a free kick in the 27th minute. Amadeu Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play. Bento Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Miguel Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Neves in the 44th minute of play. Bento Assis struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Miguel Assis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martinga FC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Nuno Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fermela FC and the Martinga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fermela FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nuno Leite hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Pedro Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Adelino Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fermela FC's Vasco Carneiro in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Martinga FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Fermela FC's Luís Pedroso got a free kick in the 65th minute. Miguel Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Neves in the 70th minute of play. Amadeu Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Vasco Carneiros short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Amadeu Soares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Miguel Magalhães's late challenge caught a Fermela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fermela FC booed when Martinga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Martinga FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Magalhães. In the 83rd minute, Fermela FC's Vasco Carneiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Soares. Amadeu Soares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 86th minute Vasco Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Amadeu Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasco Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
