Adolfo Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. João Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Guerreiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Linhares's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Leite got free with Idalécio Cardoso in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramaldense FC's Idalécio Cardoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ramaldense FC from getting a goal against them. Fábio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Ramaldense FC's goalkeeper Idalécio Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Leite. In the 49th minute, Fábio Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Adalberto Linhares made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Armando Leite notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ramaldense FC's Idalécio Cardoso. Idalécio Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60thth minute of the game Armando Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ramaldense FC's Idalécio Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ramaldense FC's Torcato Quintanilha got a free kick in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Gaspar Aleixo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Idalécio Cardoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Garganta's Fábio Borges got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Fábio Borges off the ground. Adolfo Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the Garganta defense, Adolfo Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Guerreiro. The Garganta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Garganta's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Linhares came free, but João Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes, Gaspar Aleixo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garganta and the Ramaldense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 79 minutes into the match, Ramaldense FC's Adolfo Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Guerreiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armando Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Armando Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Idalécio Cardoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Garganta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
