Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernando Oliveira got the match started through his kick off. When Mirao's Armindo Vasconcelos in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neiva's goalie prevented a goal. 4 minutes into the match, Neiva's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Vasconcelos came free, but Amadeu Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neiva's Amadeu Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Vasconcelos in the 8th minute of play. Cristóvão Medeiros hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Neiva's Rui Assunção broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Neiva's Fernando Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Porfírio Bento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernando Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Porfírio Bento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neiva. If Nuno Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Porfírio Bento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Brochado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Figueiredo having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armindo Vasconcelos made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armindo Vasconcelos in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Figueiredo saved Neiva from getting behind. Porfírio Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Oliveira in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Mirao getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mauro Leme hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Mirao's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Oliveira came free, but Porfírio Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Gueifão in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Porfírio Bento saved Mirao from getting behind. Porfírio Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Gueifão in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fernando Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Porfírio Bento was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Armindo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. The supporters of Mirao booed when Neiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 80 in the game by Bernardo Brochado from a close distance when the talented Amadeu Figueiredo managed to make a qualified save. Neiva's players were relieved. Porfírio Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Gueifão in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Nuno Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Gueifão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Mirao got a freekick which was hit by Rui Durães. Amadeu Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Mirao's Bernardo Brochado got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neiva were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mirao to leave the ground with a draw.
