Delfim Malafaia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamantino Lamego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vítor Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Lamego could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Vítor Cruz made a huge save. Ademar Valadares's late challenge caught a SC Alderiz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, one of sc santaclause:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for sc santaclause. A collision led to sc santaclause getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Valério Paixão hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in sc santaclause's zone, Rafael Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Amaro came out of the goal and Rafael Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Paixão in the 40th minute of play forced SC Alderiz's goalkeeper Vítor Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Lamego was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to SC Alderiz getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. João Coelho hit a great ball. António Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Vítor Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Malafaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Delfim Malafaia made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Cruz. SC Alderiz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 69 minutes into the match, SC Alderiz's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Lamego came free, but Vítor Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Alderiz's Nuno Moura got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Delfim Malafaia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vítor Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Malafaia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Cruz having to make a save. If Diamantino Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vítor Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Malafaia in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Diamantino Lamego cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vítor Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. sc santaclause had won after a very even match.
