Leonardo Peseiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Plácido Águas made a huge save. Vítor Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saúl Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Saúl Gentil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nivaldo Júdice in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Jesus saved SC Barosa from getting behind. Plácido Águas was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Aristides Porto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aristides Porto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristides Porto to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Delfim Madeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Perucha and the SC Barosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Perucha getting a freekick after 56 minutes play.
