Daniel Sacadura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Antero Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Nivaldo Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Pegado hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Rafael Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nivaldo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Eduardo Barcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. RODAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Barcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antero Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hipólito Bulhosa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Rafael Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nivaldo Antunes in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Mirateca FC's Nivaldo Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rubim Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes, Gervásio Conde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RODAS FC and the Mirateca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, RODAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervásio Conde to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mirateca FC's zone, Daniel Sacadura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antero Vieira came out of the goal and Daniel Sacadura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nivaldo Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Barcelos in the 55th minute of play forced Mirateca FC's goalkeeper Antero Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Cortez made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Rubim Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. Frederico Arruda's late challenge caught a RODAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, RODAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Roriz to maneuver through the defense. Rubim Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Cortez having to interfere. Rafael Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nivaldo Antunes in the 94th minute of the match. Rubim Gonçalves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Rafael Cortez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
