D. Verdoejense's goal looked a bit too open when António Coelho came free, but Vítor Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Chancuda booed when A. D. Verdoejense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Lopes got free with Augusto Macedo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A. D. Verdoejense's Vítor Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Coelho in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of A. D. Verdoejense booed when SC Chancuda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heitor Coelho struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Augusto Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. D. Verdoejense. Augusto Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Chancuda's goalkeeper Augusto Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Faria hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Raul Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Macedo was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Chancuda's goalkeeper Augusto Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Nunes during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 93 minutes of play SC Chancuda's Tomás Nunes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 94 played minutes SC Chancuda got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Nunes. The A. D. Verdoejense manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SC Chancuda to win.
