Daia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Sousa made a kick off. When Joaquim Luz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Daia FC fans jumped to their feet. Gastão Aleixo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Luz in the 70th minute. If Alberto Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute Marcos Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Alberto Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of SC Vitoreira booed when Daia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Daia FC's zone, Cristiano Ramires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Valente came out of the goal and Cristiano Ramires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of SC Vitoreira booed when Daia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gastão Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The SC Vitoreira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Daia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Daia FC.
