Luís Ramos made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Alfredo Lobo sent off a good shot on target. The Camarao fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Camarao's Ricardo Nascimento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the match, Leiroz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Amaro came free, but Carlos Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Lobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Luís Ramos made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Camarao's goalkeeper Luís Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Lobo. Albertino Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Camarao's Ricardo Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Luís Ramos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Varanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Nascimento in the 36th minute of the match. Alfredo Lobo struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Luís Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leiroz FC. The supporters of Leiroz FC booed when Camarao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Camarao were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ricardo Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carlos Varanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Póvoas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Ramos having to interfere. A collision led to Camarao getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Henrique Ramos hit a great ball. Ricardo Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Varanda having to interfere. Leiroz FC's Alfredo Lobo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 75 minutes of play, Leiroz FC's Alfredo Lobo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Leiroz FC's Belchior Miranda got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Carlos Varanda came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Camarao's Ricardo Nascimento. But to his dismay, Ricardo Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Ricardo Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camarao's protests and gave Ricardo Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Camarao got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Nascimento.
