The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Afonso Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MZKaus FC - ALFAIA SEMPRE reached it. Rui Coelho came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Perre's Afonso Azevedo. But to his dismay, Afonso Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Diogo Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MZKaus FC - ALFAIA SEMPRE booed when SC Perre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Alexandre Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZKaus FC - ALFAIA SEMPRE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Azevedo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Perre's goalkeeper Inácio Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
