Sálvio Chagas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute Jaime Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sabrosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the A.C.Paranhos defense, Alfredo Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Sabrosa. The A.C.Paranhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Sabrosa should have stopped the shot. Sálvio Chagas's late challenge caught a Magros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sálvio Chagas helped the player get up and apologised. A.C.Paranhos's José Sabrosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Lopes in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Magros FC's Vítor Moutinho fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Fábio Silva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Sabrosa. A.C.Paranhos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Nicolau Malafaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sálvio Chagas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, A.C.Paranhos's Sálvio Chagas got a free kick in the 25th minute. José Sabrosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Rocha's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. José Sabrosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Guarda made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Magros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Guarda came free, but Abel Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jaime Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magros FC's Alfredo Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alcino Quinaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Neto having to make a save. Alexandre Guarda took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Neto. Abel Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some careless play in the A.C.Paranhos defense, Alfredo Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Sabrosa. The A.C.Paranhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Sabrosa should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, A.C.Paranhos's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rocha came free, but José Sabrosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. José Sabrosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jaime Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute of the match, Jaime Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Sabrosa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Magros FC's zone, Alexandre Guarda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Neto came out of the goal and Alexandre Guarda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
