Plácido Pádua acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Raul Gueifão. 12 minutes into the match, Misquel's Januário Estrada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Armindo Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Januário Estrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Branco having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Januário Estrada in the 27th minute of play forced Coimbro FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Januário Estrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jacinto Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Plácido Pádua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coimbro FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Misquel booed when Coimbro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Figueiredo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Gonçalo Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plácido Pádua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Coimbro FC booed when Misquel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Quintanilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plácido Pádua having to interfere. Baltasar Vilanova could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Jacinto Branco made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Misquel's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Figueiredo came free, but Plácido Pádua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Januário Estrada kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Misquel's Plácido Pádua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Figueiredo in the 87th minute of play. Plácido Pádua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armindo Sousa's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Coimbro FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Misquel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
