In the 2nd match minute, Viuvas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Leal to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Tavares in the 7th minute of play. When Viuvas FC's Tiago Vale in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Engarnal's goalie prevented a goal. Tiago Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Setúbal having to interfere. Cláudio Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Alexandre Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Viuvas FC's Tiago Vale in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Engarnal's goalie prevented a goal. Viuvas FC's Cláudio Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Guerreiro got free with Alexandre Setúbal in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Matias having to interfere. Rodrigo Matias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Carlos Tavares notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Viuvas FC's Rodrigo Matias. Rodrigo Matias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Engarnal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Cláudio Guerreiro scored to the left of an out of position Alexandre Setúbal, making the score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Viuvas FC's Mário Pinto got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Viuvas FC fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Viuvas FC's Cláudio Guerreiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, David Coimbra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Engarnal and the Viuvas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Engarnal getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. David Coimbra hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Cláudio Guerreiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Alexandre Setúbal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodrigo Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, David Coimbra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodrigo Matias. The goal made the score 3-3. When Engarnal's David Coimbra in 71 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Rodrigo Matias guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engarnal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Tiago Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Setúbal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Alexandre Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Engarnal's Simão Santos got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Engarnal's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Vale came free, but Alexandre Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Setúbal having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Engarnal's Adolfo Faro got a free kick in the 96th minute. Alexandre Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Soares in the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Engarnal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
