Rio Tinto FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ricardo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 29th minute Vicente Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Regueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rio Tinto FC defense, Vicente Ferro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Regueira. The Rio Tinto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Regueira should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Sardinha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Virgílio Regueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio Regueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcides Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermes Flores during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 44 in the game by Edgar Sá from a close distance when the talented Severino Gentil managed to make a qualified save. Isenta FC's players were relieved. Isidoro Velasques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Rio Tinto FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Isenta FC were winning 0-1.

In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Isenta FC's goalkeeper Severino Gentil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Isenta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Pimenta came free, but Severino Gentil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Rio Tinto FC's Edgar Sá nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Gentil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Renato Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Tinto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rio Tinto FC fully deserved thier win.
