Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Aleixo kicked off to start the match. 8 minutes into the match, SC Formigas's João Aleixo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of SC Formigas booed when BorussiaDoutroMundo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adão Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. BorussiaDoutroMundo's Rodrigo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Aleixo in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Vaz in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Formigas's goalkeeper Ricardo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Brito made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Caetano Meira sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Simão Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Formigas's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When SC Formigas's João Aleixo in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rodrigo Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Aleixo's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Simão Cruz struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rodrigo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Formigas. Rodrigo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Vaz was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Cruz during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Formigas's Simão Cruz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A collision led to BorussiaDoutroMundo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ronaldo Ferreira hit a great ball. BorussiaDoutroMundo's Rodrigo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Aleixo in the 61st minute of play. After 63 played minutes SC Formigas got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Campos. If Caetano Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Formigas's goalkeeper Ricardo Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Vaz in the 77th minute of play forced SC Formigas's goalkeeper Ricardo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rodrigo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Aleixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to BorussiaDoutroMundo getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Laurentino Silveira hit a great ball. Rodrigo Salgado was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and João Aleixo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Aleixo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Formigas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
