Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albertino Viegas kicked off to start the match. Tomás Martins hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Carlos Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manuel Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Gueifão might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Gueifão ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Mangona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Guerra came free, but Manuel Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Mangona FC's Albertino Viegas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tarcísio Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Carlos Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Manuel Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mangona FC's Albertino Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Manuel Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Carmona charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Carmona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Marco Carmona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Manuel Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mangona FC's Albertino Viegas in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ventozelos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tarcísio Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 67 played minutes Ventozelos FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Guerreiro. Américo Porto, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tarcísio Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Borges in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Ventozelos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Viegas came free, but Tarcísio Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manuel Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcísio Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albertino Viegas went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 82 played minutes Ventozelos FC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Paiva. Manuel Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tarcísio Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mangona FC's Manuel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Guerra in the 88th minute of play. Américo Porto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Mangona FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ventozelos FC:s goal. Gaspar Braga shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Ventozelos FC booed when Mangona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mangona FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
