Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Candomil's Afonso Domingues started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hildeberto Casado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Domingues's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The SC Ousilhao fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when SC Ousilhao's Diamantino Branco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Afonso Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Coimbra's late challenge caught a SC Ousilhao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Domingues couldn't finish the play.
