The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lagarinhos booed when SC Paraduca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Francisco Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagarinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Cardoso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Adriano Viveiros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lúcio Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Adriano Viveiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagarinhos. When Lúcio Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lagarinhos's protests and gave Lúcio Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Paraduca booed when Lagarinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Fernandes in the 21st minute of the match. Angelo Regueira kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Filipe Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Ramos having to interfere. Raul Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Fernandes in the 31st minute of play. When Aquilino Caldas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Paraduca's protests and gave Aquilino Caldas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Paraduca getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Aquilino Caldas hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Vasco Henriques reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adriano Viveiros. The goal made the score 1-0. 48 minutes into the match, SC Paraduca's goalkeeper Adriano Viveiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lúcio Cardoso. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Neto to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Angelo Regueira had to leave the field with a concussion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Cardoso in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Viveiros saved SC Paraduca from getting behind. After having played for 58 minutes, Lúcio Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Ricardo Lima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lagarinhos and the SC Paraduca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisco Neto took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano Viveiros. Adriano Viveiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lagarinhos fully deserved thier win.
