After a defensive mix-up in Sanguinhaes FC's zone, Fernando Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Gouveia came out of the goal and Fernando Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armindo Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Fernando Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gontinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Gomes couldn't finish the play. Fernando Gomess short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Armindo Gouveia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Armindo Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
