Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fernando Gonçalves kicked off to start the match. Manuel Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Moutinho in the 3rd minute of play. Afonso Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Guerreiro in the 6th minute of the match. Vasco Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Guerreiro in the 15th minute of play. If Sérgio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Lopes having to interfere. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sobrena's goalkeeper Manuel Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Rui Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Moutinho scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sobrena booed when Covao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sobrena's Fernando Gonçalves in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Covao FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 33 played minutes Covao FC got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Ferreira. If Vasco Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Covao FC booed when Sobrena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Amílcar Moutinho made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st play minute Sérgio Guerreiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Afonso Lopes. 2-1. After having played for 56 minutes, Sérgio Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sobrena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Covao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Gonçalves came free, but Afonso Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes, Pedro Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Covao FC and the Sobrena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Amorim was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Afonso Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Fernando Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sobrena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sobrena defense, Amílcar Moutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Santos. The Sobrena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute, Vasco Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Moutinho in the 81st minute of play. Fernando Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Cristiano Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Covao FC's zone, Sérgio Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Lopes came out of the goal and Sérgio Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rui Veiga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 93 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Afonso Lopes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Lúcio Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sobrena's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
