The referee ignored Pinhancos FC's protests and gave Valério Pinhal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pinhancos FC's Valério Pinhal got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute, Mariano Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Márcio Regalado. Pinhancos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rui Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Regalado having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Pinhancos FC got a freekick which was hit by Aprígio Zambujal. Márcio Regalado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Márcio Regalado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Manuel Quental received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rui Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Quental in the 30th minute of play forced Sarzedinho FC's goalkeeper Rui Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pinhancos FC's Márcio Regalado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Pinhancos FC from getting a goal against them. In the 34thth minute of the game Mariano Miranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinhancos FC's Márcio Regalado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th match minute, Pinhancos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Pinhal to maneuver through the defense. Rui Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Quental, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Rui Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Márcio Regalado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 46th minute Mariano Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Regalado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Mariano Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio Regalado having to make a save. If Artur Caldeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Márcio Regalado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Márcio Regalado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. Rui Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Caldeira in the 75th minute. Mariano Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Artur Caldeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Castro. Sarzedinho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Caldeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mariano Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
