António Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Fábio Cardoso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 8th minute. Gustavo Reis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Márcio Castilho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Amorim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tiago Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Amorim having to interfere. António Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Paixão in the 19th minute. Hélio Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Amorim having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Teodoro Paixão managed to get in a good position for a shot. CITYCAR CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Paixão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nuno Graça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Amorim having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Paixão in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Paixão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Amorim was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. António Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bezerreira booed when CITYCAR CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertino Cabral during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
