In the 15th minute of the match André Martins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Amorim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Alexandre Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match André Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Amorim skillfully saved the ball. After 26 played minutes Bezerreira got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Almeida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Almeida in the 28th minute of play forced SC Esteves's goalkeeper Marco Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Luz scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Ferro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 played minutes Bezerreira got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Delgado. António Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. António Amorim made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Adelino Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. António Amorim came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Esteves's Cristóvão Freitas. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Viriato Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Ferro having to interfere. Manuel Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Manuel Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes, Gustavo Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bezerreira and the SC Esteves players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristóvão Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Amorim having to interfere. SC Esteves's João Anjos got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Paulo Almeida notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SC Esteves's Marco Ferro. Marco Ferro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of SC Esteves booed when Bezerreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Viriato Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Bezerreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Reis to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Freitas in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of António Amorim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Adelino Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Bezerreira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
