Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Valente started the match with the kick off. Luís Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Sabrosa getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jorge Trindade hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pontegaos's Mariano Gonçalves got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Jaime Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Jaime Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontegaos's Alexandre Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luís Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pontegaos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Bessa couldn't finish the play. If Luís Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Joaquim Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Sabrosa's Xavier Dantas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pontegaos. Raul Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomás Valente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Paiva. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Lopes made a kick off. Jaime Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. Raul Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Luís Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Raul Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raul Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Luz made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Raul Leal sent off a good shot on target. Jaime Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pontegaos getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mariano Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Basílio Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simão Borges thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Carlos Paiva, a very annoying self made goal in the 91st minute which led to 3-0.
