Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Trevoes's Patrício Velasques started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patrício Velasques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Gomes having to interfere. If André Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Rui Pedroso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurentino Mansilha. SC Trevoes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Pedroso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Manuel Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrício Velasques, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Norberto Sequeira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Eduardo Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cativelos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Trevoes the free kick. The supporters of SC Trevoes booed when Cativelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Bernardo Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurentino Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurentino Mansilha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute of the match Raul Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurentino Mansilha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Laurentino Mansilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cativelos booed when SC Trevoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurentino Ruas didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Patrício Velasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Trevoes's Jaime Campos got a free kick in the 65th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Rui Pedroso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Laurentino Mansilha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 played minutes SC Trevoes got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Campos. In the 75th minute, Sandro Leão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Trevoes's Laurentino Mansilha didn't even have to move. Bernardo Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Laurentino Mansilha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cativelos. Cativelos's Manuel Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Valente in the 83rd minute of play. After 87 played minutes SC Trevoes got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Campos. A collision led to Cativelos getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Sandro Leão hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Cativelos's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Velasques came free, but Manuel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Gomes having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Rui Pedroso made a precise shot to the right of Laurentino Mansilha. SC Trevoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cativelos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
