The supporters of Catarruchos FC booed when ManuTeam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Barroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomé Campelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Viegas's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Lourenço Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Viegas in the 25th minute of play forced ManuTeam's goalkeeper Tomé Campelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Colaço hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tomé Campelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Viegas in the 30th minute of play. Eduardo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Campelo having to interfere. Catarruchos FC made a substitution. Simão Mendes replaced Emílio Viegas. A collision led to ManuTeam getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sálvio Macieira hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Simão Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé Campelo was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Colaço made a kick off. Simão Mendes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tomé Campelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catarruchos FC. After 53 played minutes Catarruchos FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão Mendes. After having played for 60 minutes, Simão Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catarruchos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simão Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Campelo having to interfere. Tomé Campelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Lopes in the 73rd minute of play. A hard shot 80 in the game by Simão Mendes from a close distance when the talented Tomé Campelo managed to make a qualified save. ManuTeam's players were relieved. Catarruchos FC's Eduardo Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Melo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 90th match minute, ManuTeam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januário Varela to maneuver through the defense. Despite being the better team, Catarruchos FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
