Sarabagos FC's Baltasar Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cesário Sacramento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Naval 1º de Maio fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Naval 1º de Maio's Cesário Sacramento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Josué Granja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes, Baltasar Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarabagos FC and the Naval 1º de Maio players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sarabagos FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Baltasar Linhares hit a great ball. Josué Granja blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Correia having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Baltasar Linhares made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Madruga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Correia came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Naval 1º de Maio's Amado Franco. But to his dismay, Amado Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Cesário Sacramento sped through Sarabagos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Correia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesário Sacramento in the 60th minute of play forced Sarabagos FC's goalkeeper André Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Madruga got free with André Correia in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baltasar Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Inácio Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarabagos FC's André Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Sarabagos FC from getting a goal against them.
