A very good chance for a goal. 5 minutes into the match, SC Troviscais's goalkeeper Jerónimo Palhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Caetano. Armindo Barroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerónimo Palhares having to interfere. If Marcos Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ivo Portugal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Troviscais's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Portugal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adérito Bettencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adérito Bettencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Meireles in the 19th minute of play. Armindo Barroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerónimo Palhares having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armindo Barroso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerónimo Palhares saved SC Troviscais from getting behind. Ivo Portugal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lisandro Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Adérito Bettencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Lisandro Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adérito Bettencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. Futebol Clube Dream Team's Marcos Caetano got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC Troviscais's zone, Armindo Barroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerónimo Palhares came out of the goal and Armindo Barroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerónimo Palhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Caetano in the 59th minute of the match. After 60 minutes, Armindo Barroso made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Troviscais's Jerónimo Palhares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Marcos Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69thth minute of the game Armindo Barroso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Troviscais's Jerónimo Palhares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adérito Bettencourt made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ivo Portugal sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the game, one of SC Troviscais:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Futebol Clube Dream Team. Pascoal Bezerra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jerónimo Palhares. 2-0. Adérito Bettencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ivo Portugal managed to get in a good position for a shot.
