Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fábio Eanes started the match with the kick off. Albérico Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Sardinha in the 5th minute of the match. Delfim Sardinha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Delfim Sardinha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Daniel Pestana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. SC Rodas's Daniel Pestana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Eanes in the 21st minute of play. Claudemiro Chagas kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Fábio Eanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Pestana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Afonso Bento's late challenge caught a Finlex 09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Bento helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Finlex 09 booed when SC Rodas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Delfim Sardinha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim Sardinha in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albérico Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Finlex 09's Nicolau Rego got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Finlex 09's Fábio Eanes in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Rodas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute, Claudemiro Chagas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abílio Lobato kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolau Rego in the 62nd minute of play forced SC Rodas's goalkeeper Daniel Pestana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolau Rego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Pestana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Eanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Finlex 09 booed when SC Rodas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentim Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolau Rego recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fábio Eanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Daniel Pestana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolau Rego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pestana having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
