Bernardo Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Armindo Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Correia in the 6th minute of the match. Bernardo Correia took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Valente. Armindo Valente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 10 played minutes SC Palao got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Lisboa. Eduardo Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Palao's Marco Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save SC Palao from getting a goal against them. Painzela FC's Armindo Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Correia in the 15th minute of play. Hugo Correia took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Valente. Armindo Valente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Armindo Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Correia in the 22nd minute of play. SC Palao's Marco Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save SC Palao from getting a goal against them. Armando Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Marco Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Painzela FC. SC Palao's Marco Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Pinto in the 29th minute of play. Cristóvão Lisboa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Hugo Correia sped through Painzela FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Valente. SC Palao's Marco Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save SC Palao from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Armando Barbosa spun around in front of the goal 54 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Palao's goal. Duarte Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Marco Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Palao's zone, Armando Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Monteiro came out of the goal and Armando Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Correia in the 61st minute of play forced Painzela FC's goalkeeper Armindo Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eduardo Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Palao's Marco Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Barbosa in the 67th minute of play. Hugo Correia succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. In the 83rd minute, SC Palao's Bernardo Correia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 86th match minute, SC Palao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Costa to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Monteiro having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Painzela FC's Eduardo Pinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The Painzela FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SC Palao to win.
