After a rather tough play, Crescido FC's Reginaldo Sá got a free kick in the 4th minute. Marcelo Mourato came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Calvino's Adelino Monteiro. But to his dismay, Adelino Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bento Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Benedito Espírito Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crescido FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Espírito Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Adérito Paixão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miguel Assis made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Benedito Espírito Santo sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, one of Crescido FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Crescido FC. After the first half Calvino were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adérito Paixão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crescido FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Mourato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crescido FC's Marcelo Mourato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Monteiro in the 60th minute of play. Miguel Assis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedito Espírito Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedito Espírito Santo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Assis having to make a save. Adérito Paixão struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Miguel Assis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crescido FC. Miguel Assis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Espírito Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Adérito Paixão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Assis having to make a save. Adelino Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Mourato having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Joaquim Taborda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 91 minutes, Adelino Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calvino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Adelino Monteiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Mourato. The goal made the score 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Calvino walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
