Rui Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Lameiras, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Paulo Vieira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Adriano Ramalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Amorim's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Rui Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Lameiras in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Delfim Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, FC AMOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerónimo Neto to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, SC Quintais's Delfim Campos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. SC Quintais's Rui Viegas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save SC Quintais from getting a goal against them. After 45 played minutes FC AMOR got a freekick which was hit by Jerónimo Neto. SC Quintais's Delfim Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of FC AMOR booed when SC Quintais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amável Poças in the 56th minute of play forced SC Quintais's goalkeeper Rui Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC AMOR's Adriano Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Vieira in the 60th minute of play. Hamilton Guterres hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delfim Amorim during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the match, SC Quintais's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Lameiras came free, but Rui Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC AMOR's Jerónimo Neto got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 77 minutes, Delfim Amorim made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC AMOR's Adriano Ramalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. André Maia's late challenge caught a SC Quintais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Maia helped the player get up and apologised. 82 minutes into the game, José Monsanto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC AMOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Quintais the free kick. In the 82nd minute, José Monsanto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Quintais's Jorge Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amável Poças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Viegas having to interfere. Delfim Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Adriano Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Quintais played a much better game than FC AMOR and deserved their victory. The FC AMOR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
