When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Vivaldo Loureiro took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for David Pinho to make any attempt to save it. Bruno Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Igrejas having to interfere. If Vivaldo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Sintra's goalkeeper Mariano Igrejas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cesário Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Carlos Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Igrejas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Pinho in the 40th minute of play forced SC Sintra's goalkeeper Mariano Igrejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesário Infante charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesário Infante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, SC Sintra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesário Infante to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Jorge Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Igrejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Garcia in the 54th minute of play. Bruno Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes SC Sintra got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Chagas. Carlos Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes of play, Ereira FC's Carlos Garcia made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Igrejas was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Sintra's Fernando Chagas got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carlos Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. David Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ereira FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
