Cacem FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rebordosa the free kick. When Miguel Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Rebordosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Monteiro couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the match, Rebordosa's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Zarco came free, but Gaspar Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaspar Aleixo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Matias in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Ricardo Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Zarco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Aleixo having to interfere. Amável Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Monteiro in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Fernando Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amável Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Zarco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francisco Zarco struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gaspar Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacem FC. After 36 played minutes Rebordosa got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Ramos. Rebordosa's Gaspar Aleixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Rebordosa from getting a goal against them. Amável Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Gaspar Aleixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Zarco in the 46th minute of play. Lázaro Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Monteiro made a kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rebordosa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Evandro Cabral shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 60 minutes into the game, Diamantino Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rebordosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cacem FC the free kick. The supporters of Cacem FC booed when Rebordosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Ramos's late challenge caught a Cacem FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duarte Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cacem FC booed when Rebordosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cacem FC's Teodoro Gois got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Teixeira got free with Amável Oliveira in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, André Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Fernando Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amável Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Fernando Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Rebordosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Teixeira couldn't finish the play. If Miguel Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Rebordosa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cacem FC throughout the match.
