The referee gave cire fc a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexandre Colaço, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Macao's Artur Santos. 1-1. Eduardo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Rogério Ferreira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Rogério Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th minute Teodoro Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, cire fc's Abílio Maltez got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Simões got free with Artur Santos in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. cire fc were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
