Januário Monsanto charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Canelas's Tarcísio Camacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Correia in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Veríssimo Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Januário Monsanto to maneuver through the defense. Joel Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lisandro Fidalgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Gonçalo Carvalho took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarcísio Camacho. Tarcísio Camacho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 56th minute of the match Ricardo Carneiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tarcísio Camacho skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Veríssimo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Veríssimo Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulmeiro FC's goalkeeper Diogo Gueifão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Carvalho in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarcísio Camacho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 83 minutes, Sandro Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulmeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lisandro Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Fidalgo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diogo Gueifão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Fidalgo ran back to his position shaking his head. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
