Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th match minute Nuno Saraiva ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Nivaldo Moura. 1-0. In the 9th minute Gregório Graça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, bifes f.c's Afonso Castelo Branco got a free kick in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as João Almeida kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nivaldo Moura. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, João Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mem Martins FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nivaldo Moura having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Cabral in the 22nd minute of play forced Mem Martins FC's goalkeeper Amado Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mem Martins FC's goalkeeper Amado Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nivaldo Moura having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
