José Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When André Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the SC Mancelos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Nunes couldn't finish the play. Rogério Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Portela came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Mancelos's André Nunes. But to his dismay, André Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 20 minutes, Silvano Macieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cintra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Macieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Avelar charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Avelar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of SC Cintra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Mancelos:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Macieira got free with Rogério Sousa in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-2 became the score in the 29th minute when Virgílio Henriques elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. SC Mancelos's Rogério Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Mancelos from getting a goal against them. Rogério Sousa made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Silvano Macieira sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute of the match Hélder Madureira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rogério Sousa made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Silvano Macieira sent off a good shot on target. Rogério Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Henriques in the 46th minute of play. The SC Cintra players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Mancelos were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Afonso Barros made the kick off in the second half. Silvano Macieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Sousa having to interfere. Silvano Macieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Castro's late challenge caught a SC Cintra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Castro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Mancelos getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. José Castro hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Virgílio Henriques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Sousa. SC Mancelos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgílio Henriques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Silvano Macieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Cintra getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Isidro Belo hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see SC Mancelos's Sérgio Pinho in action when he in the 71st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When Silvano Macieira came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the SC Cintra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Macieira couldn't finish the play. Afonso Barros struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Vladimiro Portela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mancelos. Silvano Macieira succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Augusto Leão hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, SC Mancelos's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Henriques came free, but Rogério Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, SC Mancelos's André Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimiro Portela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Cintra players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
