The supporters of Recfield United booed when Reguengo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Recfield United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. If Joaquim Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Faria took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Amorim. Daniel Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. When Duarte Rijo fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recfield United's protests and gave Duarte Rijo a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Rijo hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Reguengo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reguengo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
