Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Renato Dantas kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, SC Rapos's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Dantas came free, but Rogério Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Rapos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vivaldo Bento was slow to take the kick. During this time Pousafoles's players had a chance to rest. Vivaldo Bento made a great header on Pousafoles's corner, it was just that SC Rapos's Rogério Rodrigues managed to reach the ball for a save. When Renato Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pousafoles's protests and gave Renato Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pousafoles's Renato Dantas got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rogério Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Dantas in the 27th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Pousafoles's Renato Dantas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogério Rodrigues. Rogério Rodrigues yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Paulo Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Rodrigues having to interfere. A hard shot 40 in the game by Paulo Carvalho from a close distance when the talented Rogério Rodrigues managed to make a qualified save. SC Rapos's players were relieved. If Paulo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Renato Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heitor Machado made a kick off. In the 51st minute Paulo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rogério Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Paulo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pousafoles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Dantas in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Carvalho in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Rodrigues saved SC Rapos from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SC Rapos's zone, Paulo Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Rodrigues came out of the goal and Paulo Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio Loureiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Heitor Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quintino Vigário having to interfere. Cristóvão Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Heitor Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pousafoles's Paulo Carvalho, in the 88th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pousafoles. In the 90th minute Renato Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Sousa's late challenge caught a Pousafoles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Dantas in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Rapos's goalkeeper Rogério Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pousafoles fully deserved thier win.
