José Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Resende hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Gustavo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Ricos F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Macedo came free, but Tomás Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If José Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avelino Madureira hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Tomás Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Caixeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by David Marques. Plácido Mourão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Manuel Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Pinheiro having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Ricos F. C's Henrique Abrantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingos Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, José Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caixeiros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The wind increased when Henrique Abrantes made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ricos F. C's goalkeeper Tomás Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute Manuel Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Caixeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Vale. In the 62nd minute, Miguel Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ricos F. C's zone, José Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Vale came out of the goal and José Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Macedo in the 73rd minute of play. If Avelino Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caixeiros FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
